Ein überraschendes Gespräch
Vorgestern hatte ich ein aufschlussreiches Gespräch mit einem Kollegen. Ich fragte ihn, wie es ihm momentan bei der Arbeit geht. Seine Antwort lautete: „Ich bin total unzufrieden, ich nerve mich über mich selbst. Ich habe gestern nichts auf die Reihe gekriegt, so wie ich es geplant hatte.»
Einsichten
Wow. Zunächst war ich überrascht, denn ich hatte ihn immer als sehr strukturiert und zielgerichtet wahrgenommen. Ich hätte in meinem Business gerne mehr von seiner Fähigkeit, sich morgens hinzusetzen und den Tag so klar zu planen, dass die wirklich wichtigen Aufgaben auf der Liste stehen und die Prioritäten für meine Ziele richtig gesetzt sind.
Während ich ihm zuhörte, kam mir seine Schilderung jedoch bekannt vor. Bei genauerer Betrachtung stellte er selbst fest, dass er seine gesamte Tagesliste erfolgreich abgearbeitet hatte und lediglich in den letzten Stunden den Fokus verloren hatte. Das war die perfekte Steilvorlage für seinen inneren Kritiker, um den ganzen Tag als gescheitert in die Tonne zu werfen.
Die eigenen inneren Kritiker
Ich habe ebenfalls so einen inneren Kritiker. Genauer gesagt, bei mir ist es ein kleines Orchester. Oft kommt es mir vor, wie die beiden alten Herren aus der Muppets-Show, die auf dem Balkon sitzen und alles und jeden mit sarkastischen und gemeinen Bemerkungen eindecken. Eines ist sicher – sie finden gnadenlos immer “ein Haar in der Suppe”. Und zwar egal, wie gut etwas war.

Ein prüfender Blick auf die eigene Leistung
Nach dem Gespräch mit dem Kollegen habe ich mir meine letzten Arbeitstage angeschaut.
Die Kritiker in meinem Kopf nörgelten, dass ich mich müde und schlapp fühlte, langsam und ineffizient sei und der Arbeitsberg noch genauso hoch wie anfangs Woche. Ihr Fazit lautete: komplette Versagerin, du schaffst es einfach nicht.
Bei genauem Hinschauen hatte ich jedoch wirklich zentrale Themen angepackt und war gut vorangekommen. Was meine eigene «Muppets-Show-Truppe» da im Kopf kommentierte, war nicht wahr.
Die Entscheidung, nicht auf die Kritiker zu hören
Ich habe beschlossen, auch diesmal nicht auf sie zu hören. Wer sagt denn, dass alles immer perfekt laufen muss, damit es gut ist? Aus Erfahrung weiß ich, dass es für die alten Kritiker niemals gut genug sein wird, egal wie sehr ich mich anstrenge.
Sie haben einfach die unangenehme Angewohnheit zu nörgeln, und das hat nichts mit der Realität zu tun. Zum Glück!
